This event will be the UFC’s returning to Australia. The card is also expected to feature the final bouts in the soon-to-debut “The Ultimate Fighter: Australia vs. U.K.” series.
Because of the time difference, the card will take place in Australia taking place Saturday, December 15th in Australia and airing live December 14th, a Friday night in Americas.
The bout will mark a homecoming of sorts for the Cuban-born Hector Lombard (31-3-1), he lived and fought primarily in Australia and is a citizen of the country. The former Bellator middleweight champion is coming from a loss he suffered to Tim Boetsch in his UFC debut at UFC 149 in July. That loss snapped a six-year undefeated streak for Lombard.
